The Witcher universe’s Project Sirius finishes “defining a new framework”

CD Projekt and The Molasses Flood have confirmed they’re done with “defining a new framework for Project Sirius,” the codename for an upcoming game set within The Witcher universe.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition fans can rest happy in the knowledge that CD Projekt has much more planned when it comes to games set within The Witcher universe, and it seems CD Projekt and The Molasses Flood are feeling more confident when it comes to the framework for the upcoming game currently codenamed Project Sirius.

Project Sirius will “differ from past productions”

This morsel of information comes from a CD Projekt report (thanks, GamesRadar+) which tells us CD Projekt’s Management Board has announced “the conclusion of work on defining a new framework for Project Sirius, which is carried out by The Molasses Flood.”

Project Sirius is only one of several new upcoming Witcher games, and will “differ from our past productions, offering multiplayer gameplay on top of a single-player experience including a campaign with quests and a story.” The last we’d seen or heard of Project Sirius was that it was undergoing a bit of a reboot, but CD Projekt’s statement sounds as though things are headed in the right direction once more.

We’ve yet to hear more about what Polaris, Canis Majoris, and Project Sirius have in store for The Witcher universe — what are you hoping to see?
