The Inquisitor reveals more story details in new teaser trailer

The Dust S.A. and Kalypso Media have dropped the first story teaser trailer for the upcoming fantasy adventure game, The Inquisitor, which launches on Xbox Series X|S later this year.

Set in an alternate version of 1500 A.D. where Jesus brakes free from the cross and seeks holy vengeance on non-believers, The Inquisitor takes us on a story-driven fantasy adventure as a servant of God. The Dust S.A. and Kalypso Media have now given us our first look at the game’s story ahead of its launch on Xbox Series X|S later this year.

Centuries after Jess broke free from the cross, an army of zealot Inquisitors are mercilessly imposing their “Holy Law” upon the citizens of Koenigstein. The situation is grim, and playing as a servant of God by the name of Mordimer Madderdin, and using an ability that gives us access to the Underworld, we’ll need to investigate the crimes being committed, uncover the mysteries surrounding the city, and learn the dark secrets Madderdin’s suspects are harbouring. The game features multiple story-driven cases, and when the use of words seems to be useless, this Inquisitor wields a sword that will cut the truth from its victims.
