Skull and Bones team explains reason for another delay
Skull and Bones hasn’t made it safely to harbour yet, having just been hit with its sixth delay. Ubisoft has expanded on its decision while thanking fans for their patience.
Skull and Bones has been pushed back from its last release date of March 9th, and will now launch early in Ubisoft’s next financial year which runs from April 2023 to March 2024. It’s the sixth such delay for the game, and Ubisoft has now shared a statement about it.

“Today we’d like to share an update regarding our release date as we made the decision to delay Skull and Bones a little more,” Ubisoft says. “Our determination and focus remain the same — offer the best in-game experience possible to our players from day one. This extra time will help us in providing further polish and balancing to our game experience, following your feedback from previous tests.”
Ubisoft adds that “an array of exciting content” is on the way from its social channels, beginning with a new episode of The Deck tomorrow, which will show “new and exclusive gameplay footage focused on our game’s lore.” The team plans to share “additional information” about the Skull and Bones release date and further test phases “very soon.”
