Hidden Shapes: Black Skull + Old West from QUByte Interactive is a collection of two sets of image-based puzzle games on PS4. It’s a very chill experience, during which you’ll be solving 40 puzzles in total. These puzzles will be split into the Black Skull, and Old West sets. As you’ve probably guessed by now, the puzzles in Black Skull are of a pirate theme, while those in the Old West one are of a classic Western vibe.

You can complete puzzles by moving the cursor around the screen to select each tile as you press the X and Circle buttons to rotate them left or right as needed. You can also zoom in and out with the right analog stick. You’ll have to do this for every tile on the screen so that you can reveal the final image. Once you complete a puzzle, the image will change from the black and white lines into a fully-colored piece. You’ll also be rewarded with hints that you can use with the Square button to instantly solve as many tiles as you have hints for! And if you’re stuck, you can always press the Triangle button to reveal the underlying image so that you can fix any mistakes.

The game has a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy, with 22 Bronze trophies, 18 Silver trophies, and 2 Gold trophies. You’ll get one trophy for every two puzzles that you complete in each set, so the trophies will be popping at a slow but steady pace. Thanks to the hints for automatically turning X pieces the right way, as well as being able to press the Triangle button to see the image you have to complete, this is a very easy but time-consuming Platinum to work on since it can take at least 3-4 hours to solve all puzzles.
