Petite Adventure from Ratalaika Games and Petite Games is an arcade-style experience with tiny cars you drive around the house to complete challenges. It has a colorful presentation, and a Micro Machines vibe to it. The controls are very simple. You’ll steer your car with the left analog stick as you accelerate with the R1 button and use the handbrake as needed with the X button. To go in reverse, press the L1 button. And if you need to reset the car for any reason, just press the Triangle button to take care of it.

Levels are split into four difficulty settings – Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert – so that you can get a chance to learn the basics and practice before you have to take on more challenging objectives. These objectives include things such as popping some balloons, collecting a bunch of coins, destroying the traffic cones you find along the way, drifting in circles, knocking over dominoes, hitting a flag with a ball, or dropping some paper balls from a desk and into the darkness of the void, to name some examples.

The game has a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy, and since it’s a Cross-Buy title, if you own a PlayStation 5 console, you can work on adding two Platinum trophies to your collection. The list includes 11 Gold trophies, and you’ll have to complete some of the game’s levels by taking on a drift challenge, a balloon challenge, a coin challenge, a golf challenge, a laser challenge, a domino challenge, completing level 16, completing a level in easy difficulty, completing a level in medium difficulty, and getting a gold medal in any level.

Petite Adventure Review - 4

Petite Adventure offers 32 levels in which you’ll take control of tiny cars as you complete a variety of bite-sized challenges split into four difficulty settings. Driving the cars is finicky since the physics end up feeling a bit odd. The game is available as a Cross-Buy title, so your purchase will give you access to both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 versions of the game at no extra cost.
