In DC’s Justice League: Cosmic Chaos from Outright Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, you will fight 5th dimension prankster Mr. Mxyzptlk. You’ll have to protect Happy Harbor from his tricks as you suit up as Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman to save the day. Other superheroes will also help you along the way. The game can be played on your own or in local co-op. When playing on your own, you’ll be able to switch between all three superheroes on the fly so that you can make the most of their abilities.

Mr. Mxyzptlk has decided to use his powers to appoint himself the mayor of Happy Harbor, and he’s also brought Starro the Conqueror to invade the city! Along with taking on the main missions that will allow you to move the story forward, you will also be able to take on a variety of side missions as you search for clues that might lead you to secret locations with extra bounties, as well as some of the villains you’ll have to fight! There are also attack and defense items for you to collect, which will aid you in your quest for justice.

The game can be played in one of five difficulty settings: Story, Easy, Normal, Hard, and Heroic. Story is the lowest difficulty setting with super-easy combat so that you can focus on the game’s story. Easy dials things up a bit to offer a good mix of story and combat. Normal offers the standard difficulty setting, balanced for your enjoyment. If you go for the Hard difficulty setting, then there will be a bigger focus on the combat with more challenging enemies. Heroic is the one that will test your skills in full, and you’ll have to make every attack count!

You’ll control your character with the left analog stick as you use the right one to move the camera as needed. You can jump with the X button, attacking with the Square button. The Circle button can be used to dodge incoming attacks. The R2 button can be pressed to use a long-range attack. Superman can use his heat vision, Batman can throw batarangs, and Wonder Woman can use her lasso to bring an enemy closer. Pressing the R1 button will unleash a special attack that will need to be recharged.

By pressing the Touchpad on the DualSense, you can open up the map. This will show you your current objectives as well as any fast travel spots. Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman will each have a special ability that will allow them to move through the city at a faster pace. Wonder Woman will be able to use her lasso to swing around. Batman will jump high into the air and use his cape to glide. As expected, Superman will get a chance to fly around the city.

By progressing through the game, you’ll get to unlock heroes to support you. You can call in a member of the Justice League to deal some extra damage to enemies. Once the cooldown period is over, you’ll be able to call a support hero again. As you defeat enemies and bosses and complete missions, your characters will gain resources and coins that can be used to unlock boosts. By doing this, you’ll be able to gain access to new and better abilities that will help you defeat Mr. Mxyzptlk and Starro once and for all.

They can also level up by defeating enemies and gaining enough experience points, which will unlock new abilities for your heroes. Having access to Superman’s mighty super breath, or being able to call in a Batdrone to attack enemies, can really make a difference. Each of the three main heroes will have 11 additional costumes for you to unlock Each of the costumes – including their default ones – is based on some of the many looks they’ve had during their comic book runs.

DC’s Justice League: Cosmic Chaos has a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy. And since this one is a Cross-Buy release, you’ll get to download both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 versions of the game at no extra cost, with each one having its own trophy list. Said list includes 14 Bronze trophies, 14 Silver trophies, and 4 Gold trophies for you to work on. The objectives are to complete upgrading a heroic ability, upgrading a support hero, getting your first costume from Booster Gold, defeating 3 enemies with a single attack, upgrading Mount Justice, rescuing the heroes that have been ensnared by Starro, as well as completing the different mission lines for characters such as Lobo, Poison Ivy, or Ares.

DC’s Justice League: Cosmic Chaos is a colorful top-down action game that will have you taking on Mr. Mxyzptlk, Starro, and their minions as the big three: Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman. Each superhero will have its own special attacks, super attacks, and tools – see, Batman’s Batdrone that will hover around and attack enemies.
