Delirium from BlackGate Studio and Sony Interactive Entertainment is a quirky first-person point and click adventure game on PS4. It’s a fun and easy-to-pick-up experience, and the puzzles are not at all difficult. A perfect stepping stone into the point and click genre! It’s a cartoony adventure game in which siblings Lola and Danny must find a way to escape from their delirious house as they solve some puzzles.

Delirium Review - 1

You control Lola from a first-person perspective and are joined by her brother Danny who is a bit of a nerd and a tad odd. In order to escape the delirious house, you must solve some fun puzzles to open the way forward. This involves finding items all around each room. You can highlight objects of interest depending on what you choose on the D-pad. Up is your cursor, left is your search tool, right is for your conversation tool, and down lets you pan out of previous locations. You can use the R1 Button to highlight clickable objects depending on the tool you choose from the D-Pad. Some items you may pick up and automatically place in your inventory.

Delirium Review - 2

Like a true point and click adventure game, you can combine items to make an object to solve a puzzle. You will be doing this a lot in order to progress through the story. What is a point and click adventure game without collectibles? There is a toy cat hidden in some hard-to-find places, making them easy to miss. I even haven’t managed to find them all yet! It is well worth checking every item. Abuse the highlighting feature, and make good use of all the tools set on the D-Pad, and you may find them all in one go.

Delirium Review - 3

The game is full of great humor references to pop culture movies. I wholeheartedly enjoyed the game. It was a ton of fun, and the Platinum trophy is an easy one. The list includes 8 Bronze trophies, 6 Silver trophies, and 8 Gold trophies. Talking about them would spoil some things for you, but you do need to know that some of them could end up being missed, so be sure to pay attention to your surroundings and interact with everything!

Delirium Review - 4

Delirium is a very fun point and click adventure game that is perfect for gamers of all skill levels. As long as you pay attention to things and click on everything, you’ll be able to solve the puzzles keeping you from rolling the credits. I didn’t run into any bugs, glitches, lag, or framerate stutters, which is certainly always appreciated. The graphics are bright and vibrant. The story is funny and doesn’t overstay its welcome. Delirium is out on PlayStation 4 with a $12.99 asking price.
