Microsoft has kicked off the new year by surprise dropping Stranded Deep onto Xbox Game Pass, and according to the Xbox Store, two additional games could also be added today.
December went by without any word about games coming to Game Pass in January, but it looks like Microsoft is set to add some titles today. You can begin collecting the Stranded Deep achievements now, and according to the Microsoft Store, two additional games could follow later today.
Microsoft Store potentially reveals two games coming to Game Pass today
Stranded Deep has been added to Game Pass and PC Game Pass today for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and mobile via Xbox Cloud Gaming. It’s a first-person survival game that helps you answer the question “what would you do if you were stranded on a remote tropical island?” It can be played in both single-player and co-op with a buddy and currently holds a 3.5/5-star rating here on TA.
Additionally, Twitter user MaurinoNL has spotted that the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection and Square Enix’s The DioField Chronicle could also be joining the service later today. Street Fighter currently has a Game Pass discount and a ‘Get Game Pass’ button on the Xbox Store and while The DioField Chronicles doesn’t have anything that explicitly says that it’s coming to Game Pass, MaurinoNL says: “Not 100% sure on DioField yet, but the store listing is counting down to the Game Pass post drop time, so nine out of ten times this means it’s added to Game Pass.”
We’ll let you know if and when the two games join the service but do let us know if you’re hoping to play either of them!
